A Lifeline for Those Struggling With Obesity
Weight Interceptors Foundation International is a non-profit humanitarian organization founded in 2025 with the mission to support people struggling with severe obesity—especially those who are unable to lose weight through diet and exercise and who cannot afford bariatric surgery.
The foundation was established by Dr. Gurvinder Singh Jammu, a renowned bariatric surgeon who has been performing weight-loss surgeries since 2007 and has successfully operated on more than 6,000 obese patients. Over the years, Dr. Jammu witnessed how life-changing bariatric surgery can be, but also saw how many people in need are unable to access this treatment due to lack of awareness or financial constraints.
Driven by a deep sense of compassion and responsibility, Dr. Jammu founded Weight Interceptors Foundation International to give voice, hope, and help to those suffering in silence.

At Weight Interceptors Foundation International, we believe that health is a basic human right—not a luxury. Our approach is rooted in compassion, education, and action. We aim to eliminate the stigma surrounding obesity and promote it as a chronic medical condition that deserves proper treatment, just like any other disease.
We recognize that many individuals battling obesity feel isolated, judged, or helpless—often blamed for a condition that is far more complex than it appears. At Weight Interceptors Foundation International, we work to change that narrative by fostering a supportive environment where individuals are treated with dignity, offered credible medical guidance, and empowered with the tools they need to take control of their health. Through collaboration with healthcare professionals, educators, and compassionate partners, we are creating a pathway toward recovery, resilience, and renewed self-worth.
